Need to be careful that useful and legitimate uses of biometric information are not stopped.
I think that the use of of facial recognition by Bunnings, Kmart and the Good Guys is a gross breach of privacy with only benefits to those corporations.
However, the use of biometrics in situations such as airports has the ability to transform the customer experience and increase public safety and health outcomes. However, for this to happen large scale it will be necessary for there to be some way around the consent requirements and a way for airports and agencies to share biometric templates.
