Open Government Partnership: Inform the development of Australia’s Fourth National Action Plan

Closes 6 Nov 2026

Proposed Commitment 3: Enhancing transparency of corporate ownership to build integrity and trust and reduce the risk of financial crime and corruption

This commitment seeks to improve transparency about who ultimately owns, controls and benefits from unlisted companies operating in Australia. Building on the previous NAP3 commitment, the Australian Government will continue policy and technical reform work toward establishing a register of beneficial ownership information for unlisted companies (unlisted company BO register) and strengthen the supporting regulatory infrastructure. Refer to the consultation paper for more information.
